Naina and Joydeep are as different as chalk and cheese. Naina's family is a rich, conservative Marwadi family and is totally against their daughter studying. They want her to get married and settle down whereas she wants to go abroad for higher studies but they want her to. Joydeep belongs to a highly educated typical Bengali family, but he is far away from the conventional way of studying. He is a bright, happy-go-lucky guy who helps people in whatever manner possible. The fun begins when a well heeled Bong guys loses his heart to the pretty north Indian girl and the two cultures clash. But eventually the two communities get together, understand and value one another thereby proving that love transcends all boundaries.
